Deceased sons sperm storage fees
Donation protected
So that is about the strangest title to a campaign ever.. And it is true. I honestly wanted to catch your attention for a very special request.
Two years ago we lost Dalton, my son, to brain cancer. He was 19 years old and an amazing ambassador for the fight against brain tumors and childhood cancers. He touched thousands of people across the entire world through his "Bucket List" on his Facebook Page. You can still see his page and see how amazing he was and all that he was doing up until the very end. (I will post the link)
The reason I am asking for $562 is because when Dalton and his family found out that he had brain cancer, he decided he wanted to "bank" his sperm before chemo and radiation. The treatment can often leave men sterile and so this was a wonderful way to be sure that Dalton could someday have children of his own no matter what!
We were able to raise some money from our family to pay for this procedure, and for 3 years of "storage" fees.
The 3 years is up now and the new bill for the storage fees came in the mail some months ago.. My initial reaction was to ignore the letter and pray that none of it was a problem that I would have to think about. That I would have to actually force myself to ask the hard questions about what to do with the sperm? Should I keep paying for it year after year in the dizzying dream that someone that knew and loved Dalton would want to have his child, my grandchild!? Or, would I untimatley destroy the sperm by not renewing the yearly fee - and lose any trace of that hope.. of Dalton, of my possible grandchild. I can't even get though typing this without the tears flowing.
That is where YOU come in! Please help me to keep the sperm in storage for 3 more years. This would be blessing for the time we would need to be able and process the actual logistics of what could or could not be in the future.
The actual yearly fee is $170 - So I am requesting 3 yearly payments plus the fees associated with this fundraising site.
Please donate today! The bill is past due!!
