SINGLE MOM LOSES EVERYTHING IN FIRE

My name is Diahann Perez I am one of the people affected by the fire on Dekalb Ave, I resisded in building 1427 apt 3L. I am a single mother raising my son Benjamin who is only 10yrs old, I have worked hard for everything that I and my son had. The fire left my son and I without a home and only with the clothes on our backs. In the fire my son Benjamin lost all his belongings including everything he received on his birthday and Christmas. I also lost my father Edgar Perez to cancer on 2/12/16 and along with losing my apartment were all the memories I had of him including his ashes never made it. My heart breaks everyday with remembering seeing everything I worked for, everything of my father's be gone forever just hurts. I am hoping that the money raised here helps me take some of the burden of starting over away even though it can't replace my father's pictures and the stuff he left me.
