Police K-9 Protective Vests

We are raising funds to outfit underfunded K-9 Units through out Virginia with Protective vests.
These K-9 and their human partners put in countless hours of training and service to provide Citizens a protective shield from crime. On January 11, 2016 Norfolk K-9 Officer Krijger was killed in the line of duty. He did not have a protective vest to protect him.
Please help us protect all the Public Safety K-9's, while they work to protect us. Everything raised will go to help buy as many protective vest as possible. Once we surpass our original goal of protecting the Hampton Roads Public Safety K-9, then we will help as many departmants in Virginia, as possible, to protect their K-9's also.

A little bit about us.....
Hi, my name is Lucy. After K-9 Officer Krijger's passing in January my brother Randall and Officer Tom Hendrickson, a K-9 handler and master trainer for Hampton, got together to figure out how they could help protect Hampton's K-9 Officers. The number of injuries and deaths of K-9 Officers is on the rise. We decided we could not continue to let these brave K-9 Officers go unprotected.
Randall and I work for Atlantic Communications in Newport News, Va. Atlantic is a public safety company that specializes in communications and upfitting public safety vehicles. We have worked with the city of Hampton for 30 years. These Officers are our friends and family. They are hardworking, dedicated people and animals. And now we want to work to give back to them. As we got talking and planning, we decided our goal was wonderful, but not enough. Now we are working to finish the paperwork to become an official non-profit organization.
The new goal; to protect every Public Safety K-9 we can, but we also want to educate people about these amazing K-9's. We will be exploring all of the possiblities to make this goal a reality. Fundrasiers and meet-and-greet events are in the works.

We are OFFICAL! I have our paperwork from the IRS. Atlantic K-9 Vest Fund is an offical Non profit Corporation. I have submitted the paperwork for the Fund to be classified as Tax Exempt. Now that the Fund is offical, I have opened a business bank account. We can now accept checks. Please send them to:
