Donations for Refugee Families

Hi everyone,
My name is Elbonita Kozhani. I am 24 years old, currently living in NL Canada. I came to Canada as a refugee in 1999 from Kosovo - when I was only eight years old. The person I have become today is all thanks to Canada and the kindess of its people. I think of my life prior to coming here and the lack of hope I had, and I can't help but imagine and feel for these Syrian refugees who have lost hope for far too long. It was Canada that provided me with the freedom I have today, the love, the support, the hundreds of opportunities and my very first home...
I am so excited for our country and how welcoming we are to these refugees coming our way.
When I arrived to Canada, we were given not only a home, but clothes, backpacks, coloring books, hygiene items and to us it meant the WORLD, especially after going so long without these items.
I have created this page in hopes of fundraising money so we can buy the following for these families:
- Toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorants, toothbrush, combs, razors, body lotion, etc.
- Baby gear and supplies (diapers, baby wipes, cribs, strollers.
- Toys, arts and crafts
- Backpacks and school supplies
- Gift cards for groceries and household goods
- Household items - kitchenwere, lamps, curtains, towels, etc.
PLEASE remmeber that I am happily accepting donations of the above also, not just monetary donations.
Thank you for opening your hearts.
