Zeke Martinosky benefit fund

$19,235 of $25,000 goal

Raised by 322 people in 14 months
Zeke was diagnosed with Leukemia on June 3rd 2014 when he was just 3. He had beat this disease and had his last chemo September 15th 2017. As of November 28th 2017 he relapsed and the cancer is now in his bone marrow. He got back into remission in February 2018, a bone marrow transplant followed in March. It seemed successful until mid June when we found out that his cancer came back once again and that his DNA had changed. We were told that that there is no protocol for his disease at this point and they gave him two weeks to two months to live. He keeps beating all the odds. As of now he is doing experimental treatments to try to find a cure. Most of the experimental treatments are not covered by insurance and are directly out of pocket. He is a tough little boy. Zeke has already had a long road, but there is an even longer road ahead of him, and with that comes a lot of financial struggles. Every little bit helps, whether that be in prayers or financial help. We thank you in advance for your support!

day 13

Zeke is out of the ICU. He has still had a few fevers and and his echo cardiogram from yesterday showed his fluid around his heart increased slightly. They also did another x-ray that showed some fluid in his lungs the day after Christmas. The doctor's are giving him lasix to remove all of this excess fluids and cefepime and for his fevers. He was having difficulty breathing so they gave him oxygen for last 3 days which seems to help immensely. Overall he his stable and continues to fight courageously. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. #teamzeke #superzeke

Day 8

Zeke was taken up by ambulance Sunday morning at 2 a.m. he's been hospitalized since then for pneumonia. He also had a positive culture for achromobacter which they are treating with linezolid. He was taken to the ICU wednesday night around 4 p.m. for fluid around his heart.. but they cannot operate on him because the location of the fluid makes it too risky. He has had high blood pressure as well. Drs have been giving him lasix to help draw more fluid off of his body. He has had multiple echo's, ultrasounds, and x-rays. We are hoping to be moved back to the hematology/oncology floor soon. He's still in amazing spirits! Keep Zeke in your prayers and believe he is healed.

Friday day 26, day +15 since transplant

Zeke's numbers are starting to head in the right direction. His ANC is at 1,090 and his white blood count is at 3,160. Zeke's monocytes are looking they're finally starting to come in. The only count that is a little bit low is his platelets. So please Pray that it will rise. He has had a little rash on his chest around his Hickman line and his back from the engraftment process. The doctors believe that the engraftment process is going well and is starting his body the way it is supposed to. He is handling all of the chemotherapy very well now. And we believe that the GCFS shots and the white blood cell transfusions are helping dramatically. He is at the point where hopefully we can stop those soon. He is also finally starting to not be in as much pain as he has been. The mucositis seems to be starting to go away slowly! Praise God! The doctors are keeping a very close eye on his creatinine and his BUN numbers show how his kidneys are handling the medications. As of now the BUN and number is slightly high. Thank you for keeping Zeke in your prayers. We appreciate all the support! #teamzeke #prayforzeke
