Help my daddy

Donation protected
This is a situation that everyone thinks it will never happen to me, I was one of those people!
Sunday 15th July 2018 is a day I will never forget. My Dad left the house at 11.30 am to visit my sister and never arrived. We assumed he forgot and went about his normal Sunday routine. At 3pm nobody had heard from him so I rang him to ask him were he was. He was confused and didn't make sense. To make a long story short he was found in Co Mayo by way of a team effort from the PSNI and Garda. Suspecting he may have had a stroke Garda took him to the local hospital while PSNI updated my eldest sister and her husband. My brother in law headed down to pick him up and bring him home at 9pm Sunday night. Arriving at Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar some 4 hours later he found my Dad in a very confused state and he didn't recognise my brother in law. On Monday morning he had a number of various tests and scans and a mass was discovered on his brain. By Wednesday my sister and her husband joined my brother in law at the hospital to be informed the doctors suspected my Dad had a brain tumour which was likely cancerous. There was no symptoms prior to this. Its amazing how life can change in the space of 24 hours!
Fast forward to this week, he has now been transferred to the Ulster Hospital and is due to be transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital to undergo brain surgery so the tumour can be biopsied to decide what course of treatment is best.
My Dad has worked as a lorry driver all his life, he has never been unemployed, never claimed benefits and never asked for help. He is a man who will happily help anyone who is trying to help themselves. He has supported his 3 daughters and their families since my Mom passed away from cancer 15 years ago.
His diagnosis means he will loose his license for at least 2 years until given the all clear by doctors meaning he cannot work until then. Being as he is a hard working family man, he obviously has financial commitments. Mainly his mortgage. Furthermore all his clothes etc are in England with his lorry. He has very little in the way of possessions here as he spends most of his life in his lorry. We have been told he is not entitled to anything other than SSP which doesn't even cover his mortgage hence why I have set up this page.
His family is like may other family's and have very little spare cash but we are doing everything we can. We have bought him new clothes etc but obviously we will all be taking time off work as well I'm sure you can imagine this is a very stressful time for all of us. We are not asking you to donate a massive amount of money. If each person who reads this donates just £1 This could possibly be enough to pay his mortgage for a couple of months to give the family time to make other arrangements.
Anything you can spare for us will be greatly apricated.
The family would like to thank you for taking the time to read this.
