Ethan to the Deaflympics
Donation protected
My name is Ethan Bell and I was diagnosed as hearing impaired when I was 2. I attended the Moog School for Deaf Education in St. Louis Missouri for three years where I learned to communicate in a hearing world. I have been able to continue my education at public schools in St Louis and there I developed a passion for volleyball. I decided to try out for the Deaflympic Men's Volleyball team and was excited to be one of the first people selected for the 2017 team. (usdeafsports.org/volleyball). Since I am only 16 it has taken a lot of commitment from my entire family. Some activities require a parent to accompany me and practices and tournaments are currently scheduled in Orlando FL and Washington DC. Since the Deaflympics are funded solely by voluntary contributions I am obligated to pay to participate and pay for all transportation expenses for myself and sometimes one of my parents. The Bell family is holding fund raising events in St Louis but we would greatly appreciate any contributions from anyone interested in my progress. My goal is to go to the Deaflympics in Samsun Turkey in 2017 and to eventually be chosen for the U S Olympic Team. Thank you for your support.
