SYZYGY & UFCats are going to Internationals!
SPRINGFIELD OR – Springfield Robotics Club teams SYZYGY (Pronounced siz-ah-gee) - (Team # 23767) and UNIDENTIFIED FLYING CATS (Team # 23765) earned 1st and 2nd champions awards respectively at the INTEL OREGON FIRST LEGO LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY COLLINS AEROSPACE on Saturday January 19th. Additionally, Lego Propulsion Laboratory (Team # 23766) earned 6th in Robot Game Points and a 2nd place programming award.
On Sunday, January 20th, Springfield Robotics Club’s FIRST TECH CHALLENGE team FIBONACCI (Team # 14126), a rookie team, competed at the FTC (First Tech Challenge) Qualifier and earned a 2nd place Finalist Alliance award as well as invitation to Super Qualifiers in February.
SYZYGY (23767), and UNIDENTIFIED FLYING CATS (23765) will be advancing to international competitions in Arkansas, Houston, or California.
All 3 teams are actively fundraising to support their travel and competition costs.
