My name is Alicia. My daughter's name is Baylee and she is 5 years old and has a condition known as Amniotic Band Syndrome. You can see the full story by visiting the link above.
We are working with a very kind gentleman named Richard, who will be making her prosthetic gloves, or as Baylee refers to them "BIG PEOPLE HANDS". He works for a volunteering organization named E-Nable which sponsors 3D printing/creating of gloves to make all of Baylee's fingers look as "normal" as possible. Richard will be making her a pair of Elsa gloves and mimicing Mal's hands (from Disney's Descendants). She will be taken care of for the rest of her life as far as making new gloves as needed, repairs, and help with so much more.
We will begin the process of measuring and getting started on these Miraculous Gloves very soon. We want to thank FOX 17 as well for sharing our story and helping us get in touch with amazing volunteers!
We have been discussing how to "PRESENT" these gloves to her. And her dream is to go to Disney World, well I actually got a hold of someone at Disney World who said if we make reservations & transportation arrangement (Approximatley $2,500) that they will setup a dinner with the Disney Princesses and ideally get an ELSA & MAL to hand her the gloves.
This would be the most amazing way possible to present these to her and it will not be possible without some help in getting there.
Once we pay for the reservation, I can give Disney the reservation # so they can get working on the Princess Dinner and presentation.
This was something I once thought was just a dream, We had seen stories of kids getting these special gloves made to help with disabilities, and I never imagined we would find someone, especially so quickly, and to help her with this for the rest of her life- it is all just so amazing!
She will be getting the gloves REGARDLESS. However, if we can make her dream come true and have the princesses who's hands are the same as the gloves being made for her- actually give them to her, this would truly be amazing! Any help is so greatly appreciated! Please help us spread the word!
