My name is Chris Fetcko. I am swimming across Lake Erie to raise awareness for childhood hunger and raise funds to help feed kids in the Erie, PA community.
I've partnered with Sister Gus' Kids Cafe, part of Emmaus Ministries, which provides after school and summertime programs, back-to-school supplies, clothes and meals to kids on the East side of Erie, PA in an underserved neighborhood.
It's amazing what a nutritious meal can do for a child's ability to think clearly and have a better sense of well-being.
If you believe that you have been fortunate enough in life to have food on the table and the nourishment you need day-to-day, then please donate to my fund, and help me provide more food, programming and nurturing to the 120 kids that participate in the Kids Cafe.
As Sister Mary, the Kids Cafe director, says, "Everyday I ask the staff if the kids were fed, if they were safe, and if they were loved. If the answer is yes, than we've done our job."
