Mary's Meals Fundraiser AFHS

Ms. Hill’s high school math students and the after school volunteer organization, Key Club, are hoping to find parents, family members, teachers, business owners and philanthropists who are willing to “sponsor” their academic success in math class.
The goal of this project is for students to see the connection between their own education and how they can improve the world around them. This also provides students who traditionally struggle with motivation in a math class a larger reason for working hard and seeking out ways to improve. This goal also creates a class culture of empathy, student empowerment and service to others.
Every time the student gets an “A” on a test or progress report, money from this "Go Fund Me" account will be donated to the non-profit "Mary's Meals" to feed some of the poorest children in the world at school.
The funding from this "Go Fund Me" campaign will be donated to Mary's Meals. The donations will be made in honor of students who succeed in one of the following ways:
1. Get an "A" on a math test
2. Get an "A" on their progress report for math class
3. Increase their grade on a test or progress report by 15% or more from on test/progress report to the next
Our first class goal is to feed 148 childrend @ “C H Dewey Primary School” in Liberia, Africa. There is also a direct way to donate to this campaign.
If you donate to this "Go Fund Me", the money will be donated in honor of students who have not yet found a "sponsor". If you are officially a sponsor of a specific student, please let us know so that we apply the funds to the campaign in your name/in honor of that student.
