Sweetie's Rescue

Sweetie's Rescue is a brand new rabbit rescue in Sarnia, ON.  We have dreamed of rescuing bunnies and helping them find their perfect forever home for about 6 years now, and finally this summer, that dream became a reality.  We did not expect such a large community of stray and feral bunnies in Sarnia and the surrounding area.  So far three buns that were taken in were pregnant so now there are 23 buns in the rescue at this time. That means we need 23 spays, neuters, and vet checks, as well as foster homes, supplies, food, and toys for them all.
Spaying the bunnies while young will not only help the feral bunny population, but it will save the females from developing uterine cancer which is quite common and considered high risk in female rabbits over the age of 3.
The rescue is named Sweetie's Rescue after a rescued stray named Sweetie.  She was only here for 4 very short months, but she was so full of love.  She passed from uterine cancer at 6-8 years old.
