Jonathan Cruz was in a terrible boating accident on Fathers Day while trying to help another boater on Elliot Key.  He has gone through major surgeries and will continue to have more surgeries done. He is the Sole provider for his family.  He is fighting hard for his wife and twins. We have faith that he will continue to fight. He is an awesome loving husband and father. Always ready to help someone no questions asked. He has a long road to recovery. Please help them anyway that you can.

Hello all
Jonathan continues to fight the good fight. He’s undergone many more surgeries, and has many more to go. Doctors do not yet know how long it’ll be before we can go home, but taking it day by day, with a positive mind.

Today marks 72 days since the day our life changed.

This is our Chapter One Day 72 of a new life.

As I always say, we are ready to tackle it on! Anything that comes our way, we will tackle it on!

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers ♥️

This past Sunday made one month since Jonathan’s traumatic experience. I tell everyone, it still seems surreal, and it may always.

It went from a beautiful Father’s Day well spent with our twins and family, to the worst horror film imaginable!

Jonathan continues to need surgery every 2-3 days.

He’s overcome so much, yet still has so much to overcome.

I can’t begin to express how much this has changed our lives. No one is ever “prepared” for something like this. Everyone always thinks “that won’t happen to me.” In all actuality, it can happen to anyone. We have to be aware at all times, that not everyone knows what they’re doing in a boat.. not everyone knows what they’re doing behind a steering wheel. Not everyone knows what they’re doing, period!

Fortunately, my kids still have their daddy and I still have my husband. He’s fighting, and he will overcome this. No matter how long it takes, he is a testimony. Jonathan was on the other side, and he came back ready to tackle this on!!

We ask for continued prayers and thank everyone for their donations, thoughts, prayers, and love!

Jonathan underwent yet another surgery today! All went well during surgery, thankfully. He continues to be in critical but stable conditions, but Jonathan is very strong-willed.

As the days go by, and surgeries continue, we are reminded that the road is long.

Day by day is what we use to describe the conditions and how we feel.

We have faith that This Too Shall Pass. With a positive outlook, we will overcome this! Jonathan, Jessica and their beautiful twins are keeping hope alive and staying strong!

We will not fear!

Thank you to all for the thoughts, prayers, and donations! We truly apppreciate it more than words can ever express.
