I have worked my entire life and have alway taken care of myself and paid all my own bills. I am in the middle of my 5th round of cancer and currently my drugs costs (not including chemo) have just raised to over $1500 (my out of pocket cost) for a one month supply of one drug. I currently take 12 prescriptions and can no longer afford to continue to try to stay alive. My motto has always been "vertifical and breathing", but if I can't pay for the drugs to keep me alive, it is an impossible task. This started last week... If you would like to follow my story for the past 4 years, follow me on Facebook. The story starts at the bottom....sorry we can't reverse the order to make it easier. Thanks for sharing my story.

First I went to pick up a prescription for a 10 day supply of medication for my esophagus. Last week, my first week on the drug, my out of pocket cost for the drug was $122....this week $577.00 HUH???? Yep...after multiple calls to the insurance company and the pharmacies...it is the correct number. Not sure what the heck could have happened to a drug to raise the out of pocket number by $450 in one week for a ten ...day supply, but my options limit me to breathing or swallowing...this week I choose swallowing.  :/  I vowed I would never start a gofundme page...mainly out of pride and because I thought people sometimes just ask for stuff they could pay for themselves, but I may have to change my mind when my out of pocket for ONE drug is over $1500 per month (this figure doesn't even include my chemo drugs that can sometimes run about $20,000 per shot every three weeks). It also doesn't include my inhalers (about $300 per/per month) or any of the other 12 prescriptions I take. Guess I need to reconsider learning to swallow my pride. It's a hard one for me. I have a really hard time accepting help (or asking for it) But I know if it got that bad I could count on many people. I guess the time is here. I am humbled by those in my life....thank you for being there.

If you are able to help and donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If not able to help at this time, please know I thank you for thinking of me and  I appreciate all your prayers. Thank you.
