Susie Stros was planning to take a trip to Marco Island, Fl. on February 21st, but she wasn't feeling good and decided to go to her regular doctor on February 18th. Diagnosed with lungs are clear, prescribed an antibiotic, and sent home. Later that day, she was shopping, and it became very difficult for her to breath. Her husband, Jerry Stros, took her to urgent care. Urgent care immediately called an ambulance stating her vitals are at critical levels. It was discovered at the hospital that Susie's lungs were filled with so much fluid, she would not have made it through the night. Once stable enough to run further testing, she was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma, an aggressive cancer. It is in 75% of her left lung, lymph nodes, chest cavity, and liver. Today, instead of enjoying her vacation to Marco Island, she is fighting for her life. She is terminally ill.
Susie and Jerry have shared their lives together for 51 years. They have 4 amazing children: Jimmy, Jerry, Jeana, and Jason, who have traveled great distances. All of them by her side fighting this fight with her at this critical moment. Additionally, they have 6 beautiful grandchildren, praying and hoping for their Grandma to come home.
With the sudden tragic changes in their lives, the only planning done was their upcoming trip to Florida.
Their lives have been impacted significantly! All the posts on Facebook, the calls, text, food, and flowers has shown how powerful your love is for Susie and her family. Her family is truly appreciative, and cannot put into words how much your support has meant.
Please continue to support them during this difficult time by donating to the Susan Stros fund. Your contribution will assist with the unexpected expenses associated with this tragic circumstance.
Thank you in advance for your contribution, prayers, and love.

Your prayers, love, and support have been felt. Unfortunately, my Uncle Jerry received devastating news yesterday. His cancer has spread further in his brain, and treatment has been stopped. With difficulty, and sadness I write this update to inform you, he was told he may only have a few weeks left with us. He is funny, creative, artistic, compassionate, and one of a kind.
He loves deep, and would give you his last $10 if you needed it more. As you know, the love of his life passed away April 18th, he referred to Aunt Susie as his compass in life. She will now, once again, guide and point him home to be with her.
$8000 of this fund provided a beautiful memorial service and final resting place for her. Neither of them had life insurance, so with a grateful heart I am asking to please share this Go Fund Me page, so together we can provide the same for him. Thank you for all you have done so far, there are no words to express our sincere appreciation.

Rest in Peace Mom- Earlier today, (2:33pm) surrounded by family ~ our mother, your Aunt Susie, your sister, and friend passed away. Her final moments was one of such beauty. As "For the Good Times," by Al Green played softly in her ear, we sang as she transitioned to Heaven. Mom, we all thank-you for your unconditional loving 'good times.' For now, with our hand extended and held with yours, our family is forever blessed for your loving support and prayers. #STROSSTRONG
