In a blink of an eye , everything can change !
Unfortunately that is what happened to our dear friends Sury , Brinda and their kids , Nihar (15) and Aneesh (9), whose lives were recently devasted by an accident .
Sury Banduvula and family live in Dubuque and on March 4th they were driving down to Waterloo to meet a friend. They met with a very major accident which has changed their whole life.
Sury's wife , Brinda , had head trauma and was in the ICU at Waterloo for more than a month . Our brave friend continued to fight for a month in the ICU and had started to recover (opened eyes & responded a little) She was moved to a nursing home in waterloo , but there she faced a secondary complication which cut the blood flow to her brain and led to her untimely demise on April 7th , 2017. Brinda was a registered donor and they kept her on life support and selflessly donated her organs to continue to live on long after she is gone.
The accident injured Sury and also a friends kid (3 years) who was riding with them . Sury was in the ICU for three days as he had seizures, but thankfully he has been discharged and is doing well and trying to deal with this nightmare.
The friends' little kid had head injury, was airlifted to Iowa children's hospital and stayed there for four days , but thanks to grace of God the kid has recovered and doing well .
Sury's kids , Nihar ( fifteen year old elder son who is autistic and has special needs) and nine year old younger son Aneesh , were not hurt and are doing fine.
Brinda was a great mom and the pillar of their family . Her hopes and dreams were always centered on taking care of her son Nihar and to provide him a normal life . Additionally she was an enthusiastic person always willing to help her family and friends .
Sury works as a Quality Engineer at John Deere Dubuque Works . Since the doctors have analysed that he had seizures , he cannot drive for the next six months and is currently on short term disability from work .
In this helpless time , we are lost on how we can help Brinda's family . One way we are trying to help is to raise money and provide financial support to Sury to help him cover the medical , insurance expenses and also to establish a trust fund to help him take care of his boys .
I would like to ask for your help to spread the word about the Go fund me campaign started by friends and family.
Our goal is to raise money to support Sury during this extremely difficult time and help him in fulfilling his beloved wife's dreams to raise their family.
