We are Erin and Erin, Boy Erin and Girl Erin, E-squared, Team Erin. Just two newlyweds with the same name AND the same sense of adventure. In July of 2015, we decided to say goodbye to our comfortable lives and 9-5 jobs and move to Austria!
We started a website - Surviving Europe - to spread inspiration to those considering a move abroad and to write about our travels throughout Europe. Our goal is to help others realize that with passion and determination, their travel dreams could in fact be a reality!
After living abroad for almost 4 months, we just learned that in order to stay in Austria, we need to pass the A1 German test to apply for our next Visa. And since we have a month until our test, we need to complete an accelerataed language course.
Because this class is a major and very unexpected expense, it will definitely put a damper on some of our travels and site development.
We’ve created a campaign here, just in case you want to help out! The more money we put towards our language classes, the more we can work on the site and the more destiations we can report out on. Helping you plan the ultimate European adventure or move abroad.
And in return, we’ll be teaching you what we learn each day on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #SurvivingGerman. Be sure to follow us for our Monday through Friday German lessons. We’ll highlight key phrases and words, so you’re prepared for a trip to Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein or Switzerland (German-speaking Switzerland of course)!
