On Monday, July 22 Emily was walking in Washington enjoying the morning. She  was taking a photo of a catapiller and was hit buy a vehicle. This person left her on the side of the road without stopping.  Six minutes later a person stopped and called for help. Emily was transported to Pen Bay and later life flighted to Maine Medical. She suffered two broken bones in her ankle and a crushed pelvis.  It is so hard for us to understand why someone would hit someone and just leave. A vehicle can cause great harm, respect them, do not drink and drive or text and drive. Distracted driving destroys lives.
