Surgery for Disabled Veteran's Dog

My son Sean was injured and received a Purple Heart from his Injuries from an IED explosion in Afganistan! His wife Tanne also served with the same unit both saw action during thier tour with the California National Guard. They both came home to thier Daughter Angelique and welcome thier puppy Diesel into thier home. Sean is 100% disabled and suffers from PTSD and Trauma Brain Injury as well as other injuries physical he suffered. Tanne is his caretaker. They have now have 3 children with the addition of Miles and Maverick.
Diesel has become a huge part of the family as you can imagine with 3 young children but also a help for Sean's PTSD and mental health ! He is that  bestfriend we all have but even more. Diesel goes every where Sean goes! He sleeps in the same room with him and wakes him when he has nightmares( 3 to 4X a week) The medication and couseling the VA gives him can only help so much but this dog is amazing!
We found out this evening that Diesel has a hole in his diaphram that has allowed his intestines to move into his heart sac causing a constriction and trouble breathing. Thne surgery will cost upwards of $4000. His Mom and I have offered to help but not enough. With Maverick being born 5 weeks ago his bank account is dried up. Please help this  Hero save his dog and show him that we support the  sacrificeshe has given his country! Every little bit helps.
Well a update. Diesel was suppose to be operated on at 1pm Today but they found he also has Salmon Poisoning! They are going to put him on antibotics for a couple of days before operating. Result is higher costs!
