Show your support for the Gill-Montague Regional School District, which has begun the process of selecting a new symbol to represent Turners Falls High School in Montague, MA.

In February 2017, after months of study, consideration, and public comment, the Gill-Montague Regional School Committee decided that Turners Falls High School in Montague, MA, would change its mascot, logo, and team names. The process for deciding what comes next may take a while. In the meantime, some equipment, uniforms, and other supplies need to be replaced, and the district has announced plans to integrate more local and Native American history in the K-12 curriculum.

By donating to the school district through this campaign, you can help defray the expenses associated with making these changes. Funds raised here will be donated to the Gill-Montague Regional School District and designated specifically for use in covering expenses related to changing the mascot. Keeping these costs out of the school budget for next year will open up funding for other areas of need within the school.

By helping alleviate the financial aspects of the transition/change, we hope to support the students, the school, and the community in coming together to heal and choose a new name/logo/mascot. Many people have expressed an interest in helping this way, and we hope you will join us.

NOTE: Funds are being raised for the Gill Montague Regional School District and will be withdrawn by Cynthia Caporaso, the district treasurer.

Just a clarification: This money is being raised for new football uniforms, a new scorer's table, a new marching-band banner, and any other physical objects the school will have to replace in the logo-change process. We are donating the money to the district with that specific stipulation, and also the stipulation that any leftover money be used toward resources or PD for introducing more local Native American history into the K-12 curriculum in the district. If you have specific questions about this process, feel free to send a message to the organizer of this campaign. There is no feature to reply to "comments." Thanks!! :)
