Chef Tomas Resendiz and his wife Maria need help.
Maria's son & Tomas's step son Jesus was murdered on Monday Night June 26, 2016.
Their 19 year old Jesus Leon was killed in his bedroom by a 17 year old male. The homicide is NOT being investigated as a gang slaying. The victim and suspect were acquainted, said the police Captain.
Jesus's family were in the next room while the killer shot Jesus in the head. Jesus was murdered in the bedroom he shared with his 17 year old brother Ricardo who was not home at the time of the murder.
Jesus 's younger sister Ruby, an 10 year old entered the room with her parents as they saw the killer jumped out the bedroom window.
Per police reports, a 17 year old male suspect was arrested the following morning with a firearm in his possession.
This family is traumatized and needs assistance. This family will need counseling. The victims younger slibling can not sleep in the house any longer, they are afraid and are having flashbacks running thru their minds. This family needs assistance with burial expense, moving costs, and counseling.
"Chef Tomas" has worked at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge for over 39 years. If you have ever shared a meal at any event at our lodge, Chef Tomas probably made it for you.
I can share with you that I know the entire family personally. This is a hard working family looking to share the American Dream of a better life just like the rest of us. This is a good family.
