Amanda "Mandie" Brillhart, Citadel Class of 2012, "N" Company, needs our support.

Mandie is facing serious challenges from domestic abuse which resulted in severe burns from her feet to her chest, including her right arm.

There will be some very serious monetary challenges particularly over the next year.  Major expenses include the hospital bills from her regular surgeries she is having now and will be having regularly in the future. Other great expenses includes the child care for her 14-month-old and everything financially involved with raising a child. More expenses will be for home repair and normal accumulating bills such as utility, insurance, hospital bills, student loan, car loan, credit card, and so on.

We are so thankful for the support we've already received for Mandie and know we can do even more for her. Please continue to pray!

Money donated will be withdrawn into Annette Brillhart's (Mandie's mother) account as she paying Mandie's bills and covering Mandie's child neccesities while Mandie recovers.

We are pleased with how Mandie is progressing, but she still has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Her medical bills have approached the $850,000 mark. We are just $10,000 away from our $100,000 goal. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

I received THE call saying that I could contact Mandie and actually go see her. I have had no direct contact since her incident on September 19th. Yesterday I spent 2 1/2 hours with my favorite girl... what a wonderful experience.
We talked about everything and even listened to some music. "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran was our choice as our favorite current song. I naturally corrupted her and got her a "premium" Coke... her first caffeine since being hospitalized. We covered many topics... some deep, some light... but it was such a joy to see her.
She is finally making the turn, finally on the road to recovery but it will take months of rehab even after she leaves hospital care. We're less than $14,000 from our $100,000 goal. Mandie still needs funds to pay bills, child care, her baby's needs, student loan, etc., etc.
My Thanksgiving was really great but seeing Mandie on top of visiting many of my family members probably made this my best Thanksgiving ever. So much to be thankful for!

As of last night, Mandie has done a 180! Doctors believe that even though no stone showed on the ultrasound that she passed a gallstone. Hence, all the nausea, vomiting and onset of intense pain. She is on a clear liquid diet for now. Surgery on hold! Now for the GREATEST news... she walked yesterday on her own without a walker!! She did 5 laps around her unit. Therapists by her side in case, but she did it and it was the first time there was HOPE in her voice. Keeping my fingers crossed that we do not have anymore relapses. Thank you for your prayers! GOD IS GREAT! Thank you!
