Support for Danni - Crohn's Sucks

My name is Sarah Zilinski. I have been friends with Danni Halkovic for too long to remember. As long as I have known her she has been battling the suckiest illness ever. Crohn's disease. Basically her immune system hates her and is destroying her intestines because it sees her own body as a threat or foreign substance. She has had so many surgeries, they have removed the maximum amount of intestines they can without her needing a feeding tube.  These surgeries were to remove severely damaged intestine and only provided temporary relief for her. There is no cure for Crohn's disease.  She has a rare form of Crohn's disease where it is chronically flared up or active. She's tried every available treatment option and unfortunately has been unresponsive to all of them.  She has 2 beautiful boys, Ryan and Alex whom she takes care of day in and day out. She has been unable to work due to the debilitating effects of Crohn's, frequent surgeries, hospitalizations, and severe risk of infection from her medication. Thankfully her wonderful husband Dave has taken on the role of sole provider, however we all know in this economy it is not even close to enough to support her family. Myself,  along with many family and friends have helped her throughout the years and we are asking for your help. She recently has had her benefits taken away from a long-term disability plan and was denied social security. Suddenly losing half of her household income has been devastating to her and left her family struggling financially.  She was also taking a new alternative medication that was finally helping her symptoms but can no longer afford that either.  I wish I could do so much more for her, and hope this does. Please show it in your heart to help my best friend. She has done so much for me, as well as other people. It's time to give back. Please please help my best friend. Crohn's is awful and despite some confusions or misconceptions , it can kill. Aside from life threatening disease complications, Crohn's disease patients are at a much higher risk for cancer, especially colon and lung cancer. The frequent CTscans, radiation exposure and immunosuppresant/chemotherapy injections she's had to take have caused her serious side effects and put her at an even higher cancer risk. I can't imagine life without my wifey. Or watch her suffer and struggle like this any longer. She needs all the help she can get. Every penny counts. Thank you all so much!
