Please help us raise money to support our dear friend, Catharine Stuart, while she grieves the losses of both her infant son, Lucas Alexander Kadner, and her life partner, Nick Kadner, all within 3 and half weeks time.

On March 13, 2016, Catharine and Nick faced every parent’s worst nightmare when they found their 5-week old son, Luke, unresponsive in his sleep. His passing was ruled a SIDS death, and Catharine and Nick suddenly found themselves without their angel that they were just getting to know.

Facing this tragedy with incredible grace and depending strongly on each other as a couple, Catharine and Nick had just begun the grieving process, which included uplifting conversations of hope for the future, when horror struck again. One April 5th, 2016, Catharine found Nick deceased from a massive heart attack while the two were away together. She is now left without her son and without the love her life, all stripped away in less than a month’s time. We know Nick would be absolutely devastated knowing Catharine is grieving through this time of incredible loss without him by her side.

We are hoping to reach our goal so that Catharine can have time to grieve these devastating losses (and have access to whatever helps her heal without worrying about living expenses and other financial concerns). This support will allow her to face the world when she is ready. As a strong, incredibly talented, self-sufficient and independent woman, we know these gifts will be received with gratitude and humility.
