My name is AJ Carr, and I am 13 years old. I have a deep passion for helping others. I dedicate my time to working hard to make positive changes in the community to inspire my generation to be greater. I am trying to acquire the funds to officially start my non-profit organization. I created a program called "Building Bosses". Building Bosses is a program that was created to support our youth by providing them with the tools and life skills they need that will help them both socially and professionally. My mission is to promote leadership & positivity, build character through self-esteem by teaching self-worth, & encourage our youth to become a productive member of society.
I strive to make a difference in as many young lives as possible. My program will provide adolescents with guidance and support by offering mentoring, private tutoring, clothing, & possibly financial assistance to those in need. My program will also include sending out young ambassadors to raise social consciousness about constant youth violence, and holding fundraising events in order to provide immediate relief and assistance to those suffering from homelessness and hunger regardless of their race, ethnicity, or religion. I plan to teach the youth the importance of leadership, entrepreneurship, and service by providing them with resources and giving them opportunities to actively participate in activities that will benefit their community.
I plan to hold an event once a year called “Young Bosses Seminar” that will allow 15-20 underprivileged teens attend a weekend Business Training Seminar at a resort. I will invite successful business professionals who will spend one on one time with each teen mentoring and helping them to develop a business plan.
