So my amazing fiance, whom is also an amazing father of six kids received some scary news last week. He went in for a vision problem that resulted in an emergency CAT scan and MRI at St Rose ER. This revealed a 3.3 centimeter tumor in his pituitary gland cavity. Although it is considered a common surgery, it is still a brain surgery with very real dangers. Needless to say, Tom is putting on a good face and staying positive and ignoring the possible down side as he always sees the positive. I on the other hand am very fearful of the possible side effects or complications that may result and could turn into a lifetime of medication and radiation treatments to kill the portions of the tumor that has grown around the blood vessels in the brain that can not be removed in the surgery. Also, even though we do have insurance, we were not prepared for the impending bills right after having a new born son. I know that Tom has a lot more people out there that care about him than he knows. (He was actually upset about me even doing this. He never wants to feel like he is burdening others with his problems.) Either way, any little bit helps! Thanks to anyone and everyone who even takes the time to read our story! Regardless of whether you are able to help or not! God bless you and thanks for the prayers!
