Support San Bernardino Victims

$136,623 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 1,231 people in 34 months
At 11:00 in the morning on December 2nd, two shooters armed with assault rifles opened fire on a group gathered for a holiday event at the Inland Regional Center. Tragically, 14 lives were taken and another 21 people injured. That day is now a day inscribed into our hearts and minds as a day of tragedy.

This horrific event was the worst mass shooting in the U.S. since Sandy Hook in 2012. The events of December 2nd shook the country and brought unimaginable suffering and grief to our city. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult time.

On behalf of the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino, this campaign has been created to support the victims of the shooting. The funds will be distributed evenly among the victims and their families via an official trust fund. GoFundMe and its payment processors have graciously offered to waive the fees for this cause.

This tragedy has garnered worldwide attention and media coverage, but at the end of the day, families are still left with voids, and survivors with scars. It is my hope that these funds will assist the victims with the transitional period they will soon endure.

Though we are experiencing immense grief, we will not be paralyzed. We will continue to move forward and grow together as a community.

Just nineteen days after the December 2nd tragedy, we have raised over $100,000 for the victims and their families. We are amazed and sincerely grateful for the support we have received across the nation.

Thousands of people and organizations have united for the support and uplifting of these families. We extend our sincere appreciation to the individuals, businesses, and countless others that have contributed. Additionally, we would like to send a special thanks to GoFundMe for partnering with us, and facilitating the entire process.

We earnestly hope that these funds will provide a small level of financial security to the families as they continue to endure the grief and trauma caused by the December 2nd events.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with those affected by this tragedy. The link will remain active for those who would still like to donate.

Thank you again,
Mayor Davis

This comment is directed to Cameron Bell: I live in San Bernardino and I can tell you that everyone that lives here was affected by this tragedy, especially the families directly associated to the victims. This city is bankrupt so no the U.S. is not "rich". The money will go towards the people they left behind and helping to lay these victims to rest because not everyone has "burial" plans. Please don't assume things for these people.
