THE STORY: On Monday January 8th Maria & Steve's daughter Abby, woke up to brown water soaking in her pillows on her bed and running down the wall. They are a small family, live in a very small, old house, and rely on insurance to help in case of an unforeseen event. They are just an average family that works hard to support their household. They don’t have thousands of dollars in the bank, they don’t take yearly vacations or have extravagant things. Well, something did happen and instead of having confidence in the insurance provider, their claim was DENIED and $10-15,000 of dollars in repairs are needed.
With the extreme cold weather we recently had and then the fast warm up, a great deal of condensation occurred in the ceiling and walls of th upper level. They have a cottage style home with slanted walls and knee walls. Water was coming down the knee walls and filling the side areas behind the knee walls. There was also water dripping down the outside of the house and off the soffits. This occurred in the entire upper level. Now there is wet insulation which likely will cause mold to form. At this time all the walls and ceilings will need to be removed to dry everything out and then new insulation and drywall will be needed. Abby has lost the ability to have a room and is sleeping on the couch at this time. Please find it in your hearts to help
