Hello Sensational People,

Thank you for making your way to our crowdfunding page, we are deeply grateful for your attention, and hope to inspire you with our big vision and grand ambition!

The Sensationalists is a dream five years in the making, it started as a humble seed planted in my heart by something greater then me. This seed was the desire to sensationalize the good news that exists amongst us, but too often goes unnoticed in the deluge of disheartening information we wade through daily. I started feeling disillusioned and depressed by all the bad news I was receiving daily, all the profit driven selfishness, all the unkindness, all the destruction and corruption, all the physical and mental health issues that plague us, all the dissatisfaction, and all the ways people are made to feel disempowered.

Though the messaging seemed to be 'there's nothing one person can do, people cant affect change',  I knew, knew, knew in my heart that this wasn't true. Our voices and actions are powerful because we are the consumers, we decide how we spend our money, we decide the food we put in our bodies, we decide how and where we seek help with physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges, we decide to be kind, we decide to learn and grow, we decide to be conscientious, we decide to empower ourselves, and then empower our families, friends, and communities.

I started thinking about all the good people out there doing good things for others and felt a deep desire to give them a platform to share their good news. More specifically, I dreamed of creating a platform of resources and information that focuses on, and supports, the good news and good practices happening in the holistic health, wellness, and spiritual communities that are flourishing amongst us. To me, change starts from the inside out, it starts with an individual desire to create a better life for ourselves and others, it's not easy, thats why we need each other. 

So imagine that, a network of soulful, heart centered people who support each other, and each others businesses, products, and services! That's what the dream grew into.

The dream...

1. To offer our community of seekers knowledge, products, and services that are spirit filled, healing, nurturing, nourishing, inspiring, and empowering. 

2. To promote heart centered, soulful and inspiring individuals and businesses that are creating products, offering services, or advice based on conscientious, organic, holistic, alternative, and sustainable practices.

3. To support each other as we grow and learn and awaken to our potential, our power, and our ability to create a healthy, loving, and peaceful planet for all.

–> Soul Kitchen: Editorials that are practical and DIY in nature, on the topics of self-care, personal growth, natural healing, and alternative and spiritual wellness practices.  

–> The Directory: A resource hub of conscientious, sustainable, heart centered businesses that offer natural products, ie; plant based & organic restaurants, co-op grocery stores, vintage and sustainable fashion, wellness, spiritual and holistic centers, herbal and crystal shops, metaphysical and magic shops... you get it!

–> The Mystic: Editorials on the topics of spirituality, metaphysics, ancient wisdom, eastern and western philosophy, and other esoteric themes such as astrology, numerology, energy systems, tarot and shamanic practices.

–> Shop: Our own online store stocked with our favorite conscientious, natural and sustainable brands and products.

–> Services: Our own community of wellness practitioners, with monthly featured healers and practitioners.
 
–> TV: A YouTube channel where we interview wellness practitioners, spiritual leaders, inspiring people, healers and soulpreneurs that inspire us to grow and evolve.


What we plan to do:

We are just in our humble beginnings of building a rich source of quality content and stocking our directory and online shop  with all the wonderful things we want to offer our community of seekers. We've started to building our directory in NYC and will branch out from there to other parts of the States, Australia, and eventually the world! Our long term dream is to go global, and we are itching to get there as soon as we can !

As this dream has evolved from seed to plant it has grown larger then one person can manage alone, in fact, The Sensationalists is plural for that reason, it take a village, and a community to build momentum and create lasting change. For that reason we've brought in amazing partners to support with the growth and maintenance of the site and to help spread the good news of The Sensationalists platform to the greater community. And, we're busily working behind the scenes to bring in additional helpers.

What your donation will go toward:

–> Create a sustainable platform by remunerating our writers for editorial content
–> Expand our support team with new recruits
–> Fund the backend maintenance of the site
–> Get the word out through advertising and marketing campaigns

We cant wait to grow our content and make our site rich with knowledge, information, and resources that our community can quench their thirst on, while in turn supporting heart-centered individuals, businesses and practices that are in service to the human family and the earth.
