Support the McCrea Family
Donation protected
The Brookland Neighborhood Civic Association is collecting donations for the McCrea family, whose house at 2710 12th Street NE burned down Wednesday night, October 17, 2018. The elder Mr. McCrae, who lived at the house for many years and was, as the outer decor indicated, a serious Redskins fan, is already living in a retirement home and was not at the property. His son, Stephon McCrae, informs me that he was staying at the house and lost his belongings in the fire.
Therefore we are taking up a collection to help Stephon and the rest of the McCrae family recover from this tragedy. BNCA, which is an organized non-profit under DC law, will manage the collection and ensure the proceeds go solely to the family.
When tragedy strikes one of our neighbors it is important to come together as a community to show our support. Thank you for your contribution.
