There were so many things that were great about Ellie that it is hard to describe why she was so incredible. She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, pediatrician and friend. She was honest, supportive, smart, wonderfully sarcastic and hilarious. If she had an opinion, not only would she express it, but she would express it loudly. She devoted her life to helping not only children, but an underserved population of children.
Unfortunately, she was lost too soon on 7/14/18, only one day after a previously undiagnosed brain aneurysm ruptured. The loss is so sudden and profound, it is difficult to process. She leaves behind a great many people who love her including her husband Chris, 2 small children (ages 1 and 4), her mom and her brother. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
The funds raised here will be provided through GoFundMe to her husband Chris to be used for any leftover hospital bills, funeral costs, every day expenses, possible donations to organizations in her memory, and/or college funds for her two wonderful children.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
The visitation and service to remember the bright shining light that was Ellie will be on Saturday, July 21st at St. Matt's Lutheran Church on 1615 N Wauwatosa Avenue in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The visitation is at 10:30 a.m. with a 1 p.m. memorial service to follow. There will be a reception with luncheon following the service. Please, NO FLOWERS due to some SEVERE allergies in the family.

"Oh my god you guys. Words cannot express the feelings and support we feel from everyone reaching out with their messages and prayers. We certainly are having our sad days but we also are sharing lots of deep breaths and laughs. I’m humbled by what I’m learning about Ellie and the person she is. You all know she did the things your stories say and she never once trumpeted her horn. It brings me great joy to continue learning about her. This fund ...I’m speechless, Ellie would have wanted it to go to a cause as do I. Believe me she has many causes she supported financially. I’m not in a place to make any choices now but will processes and update you all when the time is right. I also want you to know the kids are doing well. Annika is an amazing little girl and what she can comprehend and process blows me away. We have a very positive outlook and bright future. Lots of love everyone."
