The African-American Cultural & Geneological Society of IL Museum was founded in 1993 by Evelyn Hood with the mission of African-American history education, preservation and geneology research.
Due to recent weather conditions, the museum is in need of community assistance with the replacement of their roof. Currently, the museum exhibits and resources are in jeapardy due to the multiple leaks.
This non-for-profit museum is a vital part of our community and any assistance is greatly appreciated. Without community involvement, the museum's history preservation is at risk.
