Welcome to the GoFundMe page of Saint Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church of Pawtucket . Saint Mary's has been home to Syrian, Lebanese and many other Middle Eastern immigrants since 1910 -- immigrants who practiced their Christian faith while pursuing the American dream in the Blackstone Valley.

Today, Saint Mary's finds itself supporting nearly a dozen Syrian families -- all refugees of the brutal Syrian Civil War. These families have sacrified everything, including their homes,  their possessions, and the extended family members and friends they were forced to leave behind.

This page, and 100% of the funds raised by it, will be used to directly support these families. The funds will be used for:

-- food
-- clothing
-- medical care
--furniture
-- transportation needs (e.g. commute to work)

We humbly thank you for any amount you wish to give. Our parish community will continue to support these families, but your help is welcomed and will go a long way. These families don't ask for much and they're extremely grateful for everything they receive.

If you're interested in supporting in other ways, feel free to visit our website and contact Father Elie Estephan. Thank you and God Bless You.

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your generous donations. Your support will go a long way toward helping these families.

I'm going to speak with Father Elie, our parish priest, about keeping you all informed about:

1. reporting exactly how your donation was used, and
2. identifying the family or families your donation helped support

I think we can all agree it's much more meaningful knowing who we helped and how it helped them. I'll be in touch very soon about this. Thank you.

I am blessed to be a second-generation Aromanian living in this country. I cannot fathom the heartache these families have endured. May this donation be of some help. God Bless you all.
