Why did we start a GoFund Me?
Dear valued customers,
Some of you may have seen over the last week that we have started a GoFund Me campaign. We wanted to take a moment and offer transparency to all of you. We are grateful and blessed that in 2 years we have grown as rapidly as we have. Jason and I started this business with nothing but a website and a van that had a trailer. We put ourselves out there during a time where many of you had just left a bad experience and relationship with curbside recycling and you took the chance on us. We can’t thank you enough for that.
During the months of December through February we experienced a massive surge in new customers. We literally doubled in size in those 3 months. Since then, we went from a small crew of 4 to a work force of 20. We purchased several vehicles and made the moves necessary to keep up with the growth. This growth has brought us to the doorstep of expansion.
The purpose of our GoFund Me campaign is to take our operation to the next level. We plan to use this money raised for the following:
-A larger facility- Our operation is currently in an outdoor space that we have outgrown. We would use money raised to move into a larger indoor facility with loading bays and enough electrical power to run machinery necessary to bail shipments of recycling. Estimated cost: $5,000 dollars a month to lease.
-Industrial Baler- A baler would allow us to ship recycling directly to buyers and would create the efficiency needed to take on more volume. Estimated cost: $40,000 to $70,000
-Fork lift- A fork lift would be needed to handle bailed recycling and load trucks up for shipment. Estimated cost: $10,000
-Bins- We know that many of you have been through or are still going through the waiting list process due to back order in bins. Any donation would allow us to make a much larger bulk order and get these bins out to our waiting customers much faster. Estimated cost for large bulk shipment: $10,000.
While we will make these things happen one way or another, we wanted to give you all an opportunity to be a part of this leap forward. Our end goal of the campaign is 50,000 dollars. A simple 10 or 20 dollars from each customer would propel us into a place where we can be the recycling company that this county truly needs. We have have been contacted by several investors, however we did want to give all of you the equal opportunity to contribute. We consider you all family and we are all in this together. We will continue to work hard to provide you with the best service possible and to better the culture and environment of Rutherford county. Thank you for taking your time and considering a donation.
