Support Refugees to Learn Language
Tax deductible
Set Them Free and Respect Graduate School have partnered up to collaborate on an online series of English as a Second Language and German as a Second Language classes for refugees, especially in Greece. The main goal of the online language training is to prepare these refugees for their new lives in different countries. Additionally, the classes help them to integrate with the new cultures they are in.
When we began this project in 2018, we started by offering 3 levels of FREE! twelve-week language classes taught by qualified and experienced volunteers to refugee women and children based on age and language proficiency. Since then however, the number of courses we offer has quickly increased to 12 courses due to the urgent and growing need for these lessons among refugee families.
To date we have offered ESL lessons to more than 175 students and counting at no charge! With your help, we plan to continue providing the necessary language skills that these refugees need to survive in their new homes, to compensate our instructors who have so far generously given their time and expertise for little or no pay, and to continue growing this very important program.
The expected cost for one level of language course per refugee is $100. Any donation you can make, whether large or small, is greatly appreciated.
