Support Opal Agafia's Journey to Recovery

In October of 2023, our Ozark Mountain Queen, Opal Agafia, was infected with COVID. Expecting to bounce back quickly, she forged ahead with her music. Unfortunately, the recovery never came. As Opal began to get sicker and sicker, and days turned into weeks, turned into months, we knew something was very wrong.

We packed up the car and went to one of the highest-ranked hospitals in the world. They began running a series of tests, and she was pressured to do an infusion that turned into a rapid decline of her health both physically and mentally, with a multitude of new and debilitating conditions that have been nearly impossible to live with and have persisted and worsened to this very day.

She has been unable to work for well over a year, has accrued substantial medical debt, not to mention lodging costs that came out of pocket for almost 6 months while she and her husband continued to pay rent at home. All of this on top of the fact that we still need answers, treatment, and need to get Opal to a facility that can deal with what has turned into a complex medical condition.
