SUPPORT NIK DIMOPOLOUS' RECOVERY & HARES 

Please donate what you can and share. If there are other fundraisers already planned by Nik's loved ones or Hares these funds will simply be donated to that.

We will reach out and find out the best way for these funds to be donated directly to Nik.

UPDATE: Thanks to the overwhelming community response, this campaign has already raised well in excess of the target. We've been in touch with Hares' owners and with Nik's friends. 

All funds are to be directed in accordance with Nik's wishes, and will be provided to Nik's friend Fionnbharr to give directly to Nik. 

Like the whole Melbourne LGBTIQ community, we were horrified to hear about the botched police raid on Fitzroy queer bookshop Hares & Hyenas in the early hours of Saturday morning, and the violence bestowed on Nik.

While police investigations are underway, legal action is planned and there has been a swift response from politicians and media, it might be some time before any compensation comes. 

If the fundraising target is far exceeded, funds can also be donated to Hares & Hyenas to help them pay the bills and keep this institution open.
