Please help me support a classroom full of kindergarten cuties!
I've been volunteering at a school library in Bridgeport CT created and run solely on donations and volunteers. I have fallen in love with the sweet kids and have been inspired by their enthusiasm for learning despite some major challenges. I now have an opportunity to get more involved by 'adopting' a classroom and getting them the supplies they need to succeed. The kids are eating most meals at school, and each teacher is given just $25 PER YEAR (!!!!) for classroom materials and equipment. To say they need help is an understatement. The items I will provide range from paper and crayons, to warm winter clothes, to food that they can take home on weekends and holidays. I would also love to give them a small gift at their Christmas party.
Their smiles and laughter have brightened my days and have motivated me to do more.
Please consider a small donation to help me in my efforts to give these kids the magical kindergarten experience they deserve. Even $1 would go a long way! I will be happy to provide details of where $ goes.
