Laurie-Ann's Veterinary Education
Our building collapsed, as you can see on the attached picture, and killed my wife Jennifer Mawn and our son Arthur Laflamme. Luckily, my daughter Laurie-Ann and I were safely extracted from the ruins.
This is our building after the earthquake:

This was our building before:

Although we lost 95% of our belongings, we don't have any short-term financial issue, but my daughter is stressed and worried about the financing of her upcoming studies.
A lot of people have been asking us how they could help us, so we decided that the best for us was to invest in Laurie-Ann's future and make sure she can become a Veterinarian.
She was already helping street dogs and cats of Bahia de Caraquez before the earthquake happened, distributing food, bringing them to the vets to get them treated, etc. She was also planning a sterilization campaign with the city of Bahia and the help of many volunteers.
See how great she is by visiting (and subscribing) to her YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
The funds will only be used in about 3 years when Laurie-Ann will be ready to start college.
Thank you very much for considering supporting her dream and help her go through this very difficult period of her life. I can tell you she will become an incredible veterinarian!
Important information:
1. I'm Pascal Laflamme
2. I'm a Canadian citizen living in Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador
3. I'm raising funds for my daughter Laurie-Ann Laflamme
4. The funds will be spent for my daughter's studies
5. I will open a bank account under my daughter's name and she will be able to access it once she starts her degree.
Jennifer and Arthur will always be in our hearts. We are lucky to have a ton of great souvenirs with them. We are happy to be back in Ecuador, but we are missing them so much.
Thank you!
Laurie-Ann and Pascal
I was at the vet office in San Vicente (vaccinating my puppy) and you all came in there to get a black dog that was just spayed or neutered. I remember seeing you that day...then the earthquake...and as I was helping my friend at the Bahia hospital (well, the parking lot)...I saw you and your daughter again...laying on the mats and crying. I didn't know that you had lost your family. I am so sorry. My condolences to you and your daughter. I cannot believe the condition of your home...prayers for you and your family xoxo
Laurie-Ann is an amazing young lady who now has to face the challenge of growing into an amazing woman without the support of her wonderful and caring mother Jennifer, who was one of our dearest friends. Life can be tragic, but we must persevere and overcome it's obstacles. Calling on other for support is just one way to hurdle these challenges.
The education of a very special young woman is one of the very best causes calling for support. Laurie Ann will be an extraordinary veterinarian with our help!
