Kohan was born January 3, 2016. During pregnancy an ultrasound picked up an enlarged kidney, and soon after Kohan was born a follow up ultrasound was done to double check the findings. That is when they found out that Kohan has a cystic left kidney, and a non-functioning right kidney. As a result, the Children's Hospital did monthly check-ups on Kohan (ultrasounds and MRI's) to monitor kidney function and growth. In August Kohan's MRI showed one mass growing in the right kidney, and five in the left. A follow-up MRI one month later in September, showed that these masses were growing. The specialists at the Children's Hospital diagnosed Kohan with bilateral Wilms Tumor, a cancer most commonly found in children under the age of five. Since then, Jordie and Tamara have been thrown into a whirlwind of tough decisions to create a successful action plan to get Kohan into tip top shape.
Jordan and Tamara are positive “with the help of wonderful doctors, unmeasurable love from family and friends, and most of all the wonderful and powerful grace of God, that Kohan will not only push through this with strength that we only wish to have, but at the finish line he will have one incredible story to share that demonstrates perseverance, strength, love, and most of all faith.”
Most recently, Jordie and Tamara have received some very positive news regarding Kohan response to the treatment and are continuing with treatment over the next several months.

Thank you in advance for your support.
