This morning I woke up to find a post on Facebook from Jenn saying she was in Portland, OR with Tarah (her 16 year old daughter for those who are unaware) again at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Tarah is is the ICU with diabetic ketoacidosis. Well I had to call and make sure Tarah was stable and that her night had gone ok. Well I was very pleased to find out that Tarah was stable if not somewhat improving. Jenn was so relieved to hear from me she really needed a friend this morning. Come to find out she received a phone call this morning at 5:20am that her family home was on fire. Jenn and Jason and the 8 kids are completely displaced. They're home is not inhabitable. They are in need of any help we can afford to give them in their time of need. To be displaced is a horrible thing anytime of year. To be displaced in the winter is even worse, however to be displaced 16 days before Christmas is just heartbreaking. Just to keep this family together this Christmas is the goal. Even if you cannot afford to donate a share could do a world of good here as well so please share, share, share!! Thank you in advance for your love, support and prayers! Merry Christmas and God Bless.

***UPDATE***

Tarah has been recovering well today despite this tragic event back at home. Tarah was moved out of the ICU today into a regular room in the hospital hopefully preparing to be released tomorrow. I know we are all so blessed and thankful that the whole family is alive and kinda well, all things considered... KEEP GETTING BETTER TARAH!!!

The total damage on the house was estimated somewhere around $100k and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. We will keep you updated as information becomes available.

A special thank you to Alicia Self and the Giving Basket Program of Keizer, OR. They stepped up and helped get the children shoes today along with food items as well!! When the kids fled their home this morning their shoes were left behind. Thank you Alicia!!

There are numerous other kudos to go out today the generous donations today here at Go Fund Me tallying a whopping $1164 of $5000 in just 12 hours!! Thank you sooo much everyone!! The food and clothing donations have been amazing as well. These donations are needed and very much appreciated as well!!

The Craig Family is very overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of generosity, love, support and prayers from friends, family and the Keizer-Salem Community. The Craig Family would like to extend a special thank you to all the firefighters and first responders that helped save the day today. Without you all the family would be lost.

We will keep you all updated.
Once again thank for your love support and prayers. God Bless -The Craig's
