Support Gilpin Elementary Community

Gilpin Public Montessori is a wonderfully diverse, neighborhood elementary school in the Five Points community of Denver, CO.  Our school has a high number of homeless children as well as families living in poverty, The school supports the educational and emotional needs of its students and is often the only consistent in their lives. The Denver School board voted in mid-December to close our school in the Spring of 2017. The Board's decision was based on faulty evidence and questionable data.  As a community, we oppose this decision and are seriously concerned with the impact the school's closure will have on the students, their families, and our neighborhood.
In addition, our kids deserve a school they can easily access by walking, with supports for their educational and emotional needs. The funds you help us raise will enable us to educate and empower neighbors and families to reverse the board's decision, as well support the teachers and students by providing opportunities for joyful celebrations throughout the rest of this school year.
Our kids deserve a school they can easily walk to and call their home. Thank you for your support of our school community!
