Jay Corcoran and Family
After years of wanting to move, this sweet family decided that Seattle, Washington was where they wanted to start a new chapter in their lives. They purchased a home in Lake Stevens, WA and left Utah for Washington on Feb 3rd. A week later on Feb 10th, after having their possessions delivered to their new home, Jay complained of a headache and ear ache (which was thought to be a sinus infection). By Saturday he was in the ER. Within hours he was in the ICU fighting for his life after suffering multiple heart attacks. Doctors said he had Bacterial Meningitis which was further complicated by the heart attacks. Jay was on life support and went into a non medically induced coma with too much extensive damage to his brain to recover.
This poor family is beyond devastated. Maria has found herself a widow, single mother to 8yr old Ana and 11 month old Jimmy and is now alone in a new city, with virtually little to no support. The hospital was an "out of network" hospital. With the loss of her husband the last thing Maria needs to worry about is medical bills.
Many people whose lives they have touched have asked how they can help. Let's unite for this amazing family and give them one less thing to worry about. Any support is appreciated.
I have no words. I will reach out to everyone. I just. We are absolutely floored by your support and love. Ana, Jimmy and I..... I can't. I don't know what to say other than thank you! Thank you for sharing your love with us. We miss our daddy/hubby more than anything. I just want to keep talking to him and tell him how amazing you all are. He would be just as shocked as we are. He is so amazing, we miss him so much. Ok I will stop. Thank you all. - Ana, Baby Jay (Jimmy) and Maria. We love you all so much
I am so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you and your children. Please appeal all claims your insurance company for in-network benefits. Most would deem this an emergency situation and pay as in-network. I'd hate to see your family be responsible for higher costs when it could be reviewed/reduced.
My heart goes out to you Maria. Whatever you need, we are here for you.
