Support for Josh and the Sola Family

I am putting together this fundraiser for a dear friend of mine, Josh Sola. Josh sustained life threatening injuries after he was hit by a car while crossing the street. After he was rushed to the hospital, Josh underwent immediate cardiovascular surgery, surgery for his internal organ injury, and the first of at least two surgeries on his broken leg.  As if this wasn't enough, Josh also had to go into immediate surgery early Monday morning to stop the bleed in his brain. While things have greatly improved since Monday, and Josh is responsive to touch, is moving his face and both sides of his body, and is responsive to pain and voices, the extent of his long term injuries is still unclear. Josh still requires intensive care that is keeping him in the ICU, but he is stable and progressing well, and is close to waking up. His wife, Stephanie Sola, who has been one of my best friends for the last 19 years, and his family, have been forced to face a hardship none of us can even imagine, and nobody should ever have to go through.

Josh is an incredibly intelligent, hard working entrepreneur. He opened up his own personal training gym that has won the South Bay's Best 8 times in the 8 years he's been open. With the injuries he's sustained, he is facing a long and uncertain road to recovery that will most certainly prevent him from training for awhile. In addition, the average DAILY cost to be in the ICU starts at $10,000. This doesn't include the additional expenses for his life saving surgeries, or the ambulance ride to the hospital. Lastly, due to the head and leg injury he sustained, Josh will require long term care, including physical and occupational therapy, before he can get back to his day to day routine. All of his medical expenses are beginning to pile up and could continue for years. This is why I am asking for your help now.

Anyone who has ever met Josh and Stephanie knows how caring and generous they are. Josh is so full of life and is so charismatic, that anyone that meets him can't help but adore him.  He is a loving son, brother, and husband, who thinks the world of Stephanie. When my brother died earlier this year, Josh and Stephanie were there for me through every moment of my loss, and I want to return their generosity, love, and support by raising money to help with his medical and home expenses now that they are a one income household.
