On the morning of February 26th, 2017 our father Vasiliy was taken to the hospital due to not feeling well and dizziness. While waiting for his blood work to be done, he started showing stroke symptoms. Immediately he was taken to get an MRI. That revealed a blood clot in his main artery that leads to the BRAIN STEM. Soon after, he was showing signs of improvement, family and doctors were very hopeful.
Unfortunately later that night, he had a second stroke in the same area as the first. The chances for survival were slim to none after the second procedure. However, he pulled through that as well. Later, due to complications, and bleeding in the brain stem area he went into a coma.
Neurologists predicted no chance for recovery. Best case scenario, locked-in syndrome.
On March 1st at 8:00PM Vasiliy left this earth leaving behind his wife Irina, and two of his youngest children Nickolas (age 9) and Erica (age 6).
This fund is set up to help support his wife with mortgage payments as he was the main financial provider of the family. It will also be used to lighten the burden of any funeral costs, as well as his 2 young children and their future.
