I’m Ned Devere, aka Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford. From 1550 to 1604 I lived in England, now I live on the internet. I’m the man who wrote the poems and plays that Will Shaksper was given the credit for. There were reasons for that at the time, but as a result there’s been an ongoing debate called the Shakespeare Authorship Question. I am the question’s correct answer. It’s properly spelled Shake-Speare, my pseudonym.
Since 2015 I’ve been writing with serious humour at edevere17.com, about my life and authorship. The site has always been free to read, with no paywall or advertising. The expenses run to several hundred pounds/dollars/euros a year (not counting the books!), and everything grows more costly. I’ve had one other link on the site for donations, but some folks don’t like that service so now this one provides an alternative.
If you’re already a reader, nothing is truer than my gratitude for your interest and support. If you’re new, do have a look at the site. There’s a Donate page there, with more details about what donations are used for (site hosting costs, mainly) and a link to return here. If you like what you see, come back and click the button.
Ever thanks.
