Support Cynthia to Conquer Cancer

Aloha Everyone,
Here is Mieko, Cynthia's friend of 22 years.  She is the president of Chameleon Talent Agency and the Past President of Rotary Club of Kihei - Wailea. Please read her situation below and consider helping my best friend going through this cancer crisis.

We got together for Christmas brunch at my house.  She was beautiful and energetic as usual.  We chatted and had a good time.  Then she started complaining about her  bloated stomach.  Another friend saw her a couple days later and sensed something was not right and recommended that she go see a doctor.   I'm glad she suggested that.  Then Cynthia was diagnosed with "Ovarian Cancer".  I was in shock.   Why her? Why now?

I went to see her next day.  She did not look the same as few days ago.  Her stomach was filled with fluid and bulged.  She was in a lot of pain.  She wasn't able to eat for days because of what was  growing inside of her.

I did my best not to cry.

The timing was bad.  She was diagnosed on December 30, 2016.  Everything was closed.  She wasn't able to reach to the right doctor for a few days.   The "Waiting" period made us  all anxious.  She is a strong lady from NY.  But, as a friend knowing her for long time, I know that inside she was scared and felt vulnerable.

On January 5, 2017,  which is 6 days after the diagnosis, the hospital finally took her to remove 3 liters of amber liquid out from her body cavity.  Thanks to her mother-in-law taking her to the treatment.  Her sister from NY flew in to Maui.

Next day she was able to fly to the island of Oahu where she and her sister went to see Dr. Terada, OB-GYN Oncologist Surgeon of The Queen's Medical Center.   At this point, he was not able to say much except that the biggest mass she has is about the size of grapefruit.  Cancer is spread all over her body.  There is a 2 inch tumor that is too dangerously close to her aorta.   He said she needs surgery very soon.  Her surgery is scheduled on January 19, 2017 at the Queen's Medical Center.

After the surgery, the Doctor will have more information to tell her and make a treatment plan.

Cynthia is not able to work or do her normal life at this point.  She is a widow.  No life time partner to support her going through this medical issue.   The fund will help her immediately to pay living expenses and medical bills.

If you know Cynthia in person and live near her, please offer her to cook, clean, give rides to treatments and such.

It seems like the cancer harming her is a agressive type.  She needs your support immediately.

Thank you very much for reading through.  If you concider to send her funds,  Thank you very much in advance.  We will update as much as we can.

Please share this with your family and friends.  Every little help will be a great help.
