As some of you may already know, Professor Crosby and his family received information early Tuesday morning they lost their home because of the devastating Camp Fire.
As alumni of Chico’s Model United Nations program, hearing this news is especially difficult. For the average student, Professor Crosby is simply a great instructor. For us MUN kids, he played an entirely different role. One of a coach, mentor, confidant and most importantly – friend. Through MUN, we built lifelong friendships, made lasting memories and accrued skills that have helped so many of us build lives and careers. None of it would have been possible without Crosby’s dedication and commitment to the program. Simply put, if it were not for Crosby, many of us would not be where we are today. You meet very few individuals in life that play such an indispensable role in changing its trajectory – Crosby is undoubtedly one of them. As such, we would like to invite you to contribute whatever you can to help his family. Crosby’s entire career has consisted of giving back to others. It is time we do the same.
