Claire Kennedy and family

What the family thought was a simple case of the flu turned out to be much more serious.  After bringing  Claire to ELIH for what they hoped was treatment for dehydration and fever, they discovered that her symptoms were more than just flu like.  After being transferred to Stony Brook she was diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis caused by Listeria.  Her condition is critical but is making small improvements every day. The recovery is going to be a very long process. We are looking for donations to help cover costs for maintaining the home, caring for the children, and any unexpected medical costs. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
