Support Mac's Fight Against ALS

Hi…most of you know me as MacHoot. And as most of you know I haven’t been streaming or showing up as often as I used to.

A lot of you know that I’ve been having some health issues connected with my spine and back. I’ve had surgeries that was supposed to fix my issues or at least make it so nothing would get worse. But I’m still getting worse.

I just discovered that I have ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. When voluntary muscle action is progressively affected, people may lose the ability to speak, eat, move and breathe. There’s no known cure but there are medications that are shown to slow down the progression.

Along with robbing people of lots of things, it’s also an expensive disease. I’m including a Go Fund Me I’ve set up for some medical equipment needs such as a power wheelchair and ramps for getting up my stairs. Never feel obligated to help unless you can.
